this movie is super touching and sweet.... remember to bring lots of tissue when going to watch this movie...

it's about this shy and gentle girl, mikan who lost her phone but found it in the library.From then onwards she begin to receive phone calls from a guy in the same school as her. As time pass, they get to know each other better till one day mikan finally get to know the true identity of the guy, Hiro who is a white headed thug in school, when he suggest to meet at the school's swimming complex to celebrate her belated birthday. At that time, she was shocked that it was him and turn down his banquet of flowers he had just pluck saying that it is cruel for the flowers and ran away from him. On her way home, Mikan saw Hiro planting the flowers back.. That's how they become an item.


But one day, Mikan was taken away by 3 thugs while waiting for Hiro to turn up for their date and she was raped. It was at night that Hiro found her. He kept apologising to her and wished that he is the sky so that he will be able to watch where she is and able to protect her. He left her at his house with his sister and went to beat the 3 thugs and through them he found out that it was his ex-girlfriend's doing,Saki. Hiro dragged Saki to Mikan and asked Mikan what she want to do with her and he will kill her if that is what she want but Mikan refused saying that she don't want to lose Hiro. In fit of anger, Hiro's sister took a scissors and cut away Saki's hair.

Love deepens between both of them and soon they become lovers. One day, Mikan found out that she is pregnant and told the news to Hiro. The latter was overjoyed and proposed to Mikan on that day plus seek premission for marriage from their families whom gave their consent. However, Saki went to confront Mikan and pushed her down the stairs. At night on the same day, Mikan and Hiro went out to celebrate Christmas Eve but half way through she felt sharp pain and was sent to hospital. She miscarriaged. Both Hiro and Mikan went to the plot of land which Hiro planted the flowers and built a snowman standing for their baby grave and promised to be back on 24 Dec every year.

After the accident, Hiro grew distant towards Mikan and eventually break up. Mikan was devastated and not knowing the true reason for breakup. After their breakup , Mikan saw Hiro lesser and lesser in school. Years passed, she was in the final year and got to know another guy and on the graduation day she did not saw Hiro and went to the library, their favourite hangout place and wrote on the blackboard: Were you happy? and a reply: I was very happy. was written on it when she checked the board at the end of graduation day.

on 24 Dec, Mikan without fail went to the little garden with her boyfriend who proposed to her.She agreed and went to the grave. At that grave, she saw Hiro's friend who told her that Hiro got cancer that is why he pushed her away. Devastated, she kneeled in the snow and cried till her boyfriend went to find her. She told him the truth about Hiro and wanted to go back to Hiro. He refused but gave in saying that he let her go as he wished and want her to be happy and if being with Hiro is what she want he will let her go.

Mikan rushed to the hospital and told Hiro that she will stay by him no matter what. They spend every single day together to make up for the time they lost. Days passed by, Hiro grew weaker. One day, Hiro went out of the hospital and went to the riverside with Mikan. He was very upset at the fact that he was going to die and unable to see Mikan's smile or spend the future together. There, they excahnged words of vows.

One day, Hiro asked Mikan to develop the photos he had taken. On the way back, Mikan received the phone call telling her that Hiro is in critical condition and asked her to rushed back. Along the way, she fall and dropped the photos. All the photos were pictures of her. She made a video call to Hiro,pleading him to open his eyes, to fight on. He did. Hiro asked her to smile and promised to wait for her but he died as soon as the call ended.

On the day of Hiro's funeral, Mikan received a book that Hiro had written. She did not read it and brought it with her to the riverside. Devastated, she attempted to jump of the bridge by the riverside but two whties doves flew up when she attempted to jump. In shock and surprise, Mikan dropped the book. A breeze blew pass, flipping the pages of the book. It was written all about Mikan. Ending the book was the picture of Hiro Mikan and the baby they had brieftly.
