woohoo~~ just got back from holland village after celebrating sharlyn's 21st birthday =) It's been a long long time since we ( sarah, sharlyn, yvette and I ) met up but the feeling was great, bringing up the funny accidents that we had (yes, the jurong west swimming pool wan -_-) and bascally just chat and listen to the oldies that the band at wala wala played which is mostly 90s songs. Felt it's a bit wasted to waste a quarter jar of beer (saporona- japanese brand beer) cause we couldn't finish it and we had to catch the last bus home =( The band (jack and ray ) was quite good and they even sang birthday song for sharlyn ( haha, requested by yours truly =p) which I think embarassed sharlyn a bit =)

Before we went to wala, sharlyn and I went to orchard to shop round first before having our dinner together with yvette (sarah only joined us for wala cause she got her nephew's birthday party to attend to) . We went to OC (orchard central) which is a new shoppng centre that is situated beside somerset station. It had outdoor escalator that is 4 storeys high -_- and even comes with its own indoor rock climbing wall -_- but there wasn't much to shop there as most of the tenants haven set up their shop yet =X After shopping, we went to holland village to eat at mykii which is sort of a fusion between mediterrian and asian food, the pasta which had the local lasksa taste was the best dish out of the 3 dishes we ordered - one is a chocolate cake with nutella i think and another is just rice with prawn and tomato sauce. But the good thing is that the ambience is very good which is to more liking as it leans towards the deco of a typical beach cafe =) so I think it will be a good chillout place eg to dine with desserts and drinks and not so much on the main dishes =)

btw while shopping along orchard me and sharlyn came across samsung roadshow where they promoted samsung jet phone for 248 for recontraction of plans and I nearly bought the phone on spot if the plan was signed under my name but it was not =( The phone was like iphone and in this roadshow it is 50 cheaper compared to buying it at any singtel outlets =( oh wells jus not my luck =( shall pray for another job so that I have enough to buy a phone before this current wan give up on me =X
